Humid and dusty weather in UAE until Eid weekend

Drivers are advised to be cautious as visibility may be reduced due to mist formation.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted that weather over the coming five days in the UAE will be humid and partly cloudy, with a probability of mist formation, especially in the western regions of the country.

The NCM has reported mist formation in the early hours of today morning over Al Maktoum International Airport, Sweihan and Al Minhad area.

In a statement on Monday, NCM called on motorists to take necessary precautions and strictly follow the traffic regulations as visibility could be down to less than 1,000 metres at times over some northern internal area until 8am today.

Theweather bureau added that there will be light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times by afternoon, which may cause blowing dust over some exposed areas.

Winds will veer southeasterly to northeasterly, 18- 28, reaching 38kph at times in the internal areas during day time. The amount of relative humidity will increase during night and early morning.

Temperature highs in the internal areasis expected to be between 41C to 46C. Coastal areas will see maximum temperatures between 38C to 41C. And, the highest temperature in mountainous regions may be between 30-36C.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

The NCM, has also released a weather forecast report for the coming five days. The prediction is that the week will be humid and partly cloudy with a probability of blowing dust.
