The tropical Cyclone Maha is currently located at latitude 18.6°C north, and longitude 64.2°C east over the Arabian Sea, with estimated wind speed around 165 - 175 kmph, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said on Monday.
The cyclone moves northwestward in the center of Arabian Sea then re-curve towards northeastwards by Tuesday Morning, and expected to weaken gradually into tropical cyclone category 1, and tropical storm next 48 hours, the NCM said.
The NCM, however, said that the Cyclone Maha will impact the UAE with rough seas and water surge expected over the east coast during the period of high tide over the east coast from Monday to Wednesday.
