Video: Heavy rain lashes parts of UAE, cloudy conditions to persist

The showers caused early morning traffic on UAE roads.

Thursday morning began on a rainy note in Dubai. Children on their way to school and morning commuters battled rain as they set out for their day. 
The moderate to heavy drizzle caused early morning traffic on the roads as motorists set out to work.

Light to moderate rain was reported over Abu Dhabi, The National Center of Meteorology tweeted.

The week is the UAE has been cloudy and dusty with scattered rain in few parts. More rain is expected during the day.

The day is expected to be cloudy in the UAE today with a chance of scattered rainfall, especially in the internal areas. It might get humid by night and early morning tomorrow.
Giving a weather update for the coming weekend, the NCM said the days are expected to be cloudy with a possibility of an increase in temperature.
