Earlier, the NCM warned residents of strong winds and dust storms.
It has advised motorists to take caution while driving as visibility is expected to be less than 2,000 metres.
The centre added that the low visibility is caused by dust laden and suspended over various areas, especially the west, until 7 pm today.

According to NCM statement, a low-pressure front is coming in from the eastern region, whereas a high pressure front is moving in from the southeastern region. The UAE is experiencing dust and a stirring of a southern wind that began on Wednesday morning which is expected to gradually taper off into the night and pick up again on Thursday morning.
A low pressure-front is expected off the red sea and a high pressure front is also expected to come in from the northern areas, the statement reads.

A moving block of air carrying dust pushed by a northern wind will affect sea conditions and some western regions of the UAE in the afternoon and evening hours. It will continue moving towards the end of the night and Thursday morning towards the southern regions of Saudi Arabia.
Abu Dhabi Police has also issued a weather advisory on their twitter account regarding the proper safety precautions taken during dust storms. They include driving more cautiously along all roads and at lesser speeds; not using yield flashing lights unless the vehicle has come to a complete stop; and the use of the vehicle's normal headlights.

Dark clouds took over parts of UAE as the day set in. Low clouds were spotted in Khor Fakkan and the videos were shared by Storm_ae on their Instagram page.

There could be a possibility of rainfall in the region.
The NCM issued a notification about fresh winds and rough sea in the Arabian Gulf and Oman sea till 8 pm on Wednesday.
For today's weather update, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM)  says that the day will be fair to partly cloudy in general and hazy at times.
There is a possibility of light rains as low clouds may increase over eastern areas. Moderate winds could cause blowing dust/sand reducing horizontal visibility at times. Motorists need to be careful while driving on the roads.
Expect an increase in the relative humidity during late night and early mornings.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), has also advised motorists to take caution while driving as visibility is expected to be less than 2,000 metres.
The centre added that the low visibility is caused by dust and suspended over various areas, especially the west, until 7:00pm today.
