The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) on Wednesday issued blowing dust alert for residents in the country. Motorists have been warned to take extra care on roads due to low visibility caused by dusty weather across the UAE.

In a statement today, the NCM warned of the poor visibility less than 2,000 due to fresh winds with speed reaching up to 40kmph at times in various coastal and inland areas of the country.
"The wind will be light to moderate and will be southeasterly to northwesterly, with a speed of 20 - 30kmph, reaching 40kmph at times in the internal areas," NCM said.
The NCM said temperatures will drop across the country. According to the NCM, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 28 - 30°C  in the internal areas against Monday's maximum, which settled at 37.4 °C in Mukhariz.
The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf, and rough to moderate in the Oman sea.
