The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, has called on drivers and pedestrians to take all necessary precautions when on roads due to blowing dust and sand causing poor horizontal visibility.
In a statement today, the NCM, warned of the poor visibility due to fresh winds with speed reaching up to 40kmph over some of internal and coastal areas from 6:30am until 6 pm.

Today's weather condition, according to the NCM, will be fair to partly cloudy in general.  Some convective clouds will appear over the eastern mountains by afternoon.
The maximum temperature today will hover between 38 to 41°C over the coastal areas, 42 to 46°C over the internal areas and 34 to 38°C in the mountain areas.
It will be a humid night and Monday morning also brings the chance of more fog or mist in coastal and internal areas, especially to the north.
The sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
Sharing a weather forecast for the coming days, the NCM said humidity will remain high with a probability of mist or fog formation.
