Video: UAE expat buys Dh4m Rolls Royce for rare number plate

Usually, enthusiasts buy rare and fancy number plates for their luxury cars. But this Chinese investor bought a luxury car for his number plate X-1.
“This special number plate is so stunning that I could not help buying a special car for it," said Xian Jun Xu.

He bought a brand new blue Dh4-million Rolls Royce for the number plate. The businessman did not reveal how much he paid for the possession.
To mark the sale of the first-of-its kind number plate, the General Resources Authority of the Ras Al Khaimah Police held a small function that saw a limited number of guests at the Enoc vehicle testing and registration village.
Xu, who is a car dealer, said he was impressed with the "spectacular design". "The number code (X) is the first letter of my name. I am planning to buy two more special number plates from Ras Al Khaimah with the same 'X' code for my family.”
