The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai (GDRFA) “is ready” to implement the latest directives to extend visit visa validity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had issued directives to extend tourist visas for one additional month, without any government fees. The move brings respite to tourists affected because of temporary airport closures and entry restrictions around the world.

The GDRFA took to Twitter on Tuesday and posted an image of Sheikh Mohammed, and detailed his directive. The authority used “#gdrfadubai #gdrfadubai_is_ready” with the post.
In the Arabic tweet, the authority used #WorldsCoolestWinter — a reference to an ongoing domestic tourism campaign that encourages residents to discover the UAE’s hidden gems.
