Huge tailbacks are seen on Sharjah-Dubai roads, where motorists said it took them at least one hour to cross the emirate.

Dense fog that shrouded almost entire UAE on Tuesday morning also affected traffic movement across the country.

Huge tailbacks are seen on Sharjah-Dubai roads, where motorists said it took them at least one hour to cross the emirate during the peak morning hours.

The Sharjah Police alerted motorists of traffic congestion on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road from Bridge No. 3 in the direction of Dubai. They urged motorists to take caution and use alternative roads.

According to Google Maps, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road and Al Ittihad Road are the most affected with long ‘red patches’ indicating heavy traffic congestion.

In Abu Dhabi, the police warned of heavy traffic after the Truck Road Bridge near Al Mafraq.
