A food establishment was closed in UAE earlier this week for flouting hygiene rules.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a decision to close 'Baqala Top Save more LLC'  store over health-related violations.
A statement issued by Adafsa said that the establishment had not improved its poor hygiene standards, after repeated warnings. Such violation affects the health of the consumers.
The authority added that the store will remain closed until hygiene standards are improved. The store was violating the following rules:
- Storing huge amounts of frozen products in freezers and refrigerators
- Selling poultry and fish from unknown sources
- Not renewing their licence.
The establishment was issued five violations in June, September, October and December 2019.
The authority urged the public to report such violations or concerns on 800555.
