Italian coach praises his team who 'gave their all' to secure victory in a pulsating Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday
Responding to the call from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate Flag Day, the Government of Dubai Media Office launched the seventh edition of Flag Garden at Kite Beach in Jumeirah.
The Dubai media office shared a video clip on its official Twitter handle showing the flags being arranged to create portraits of Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. About 4,000 UAE flags were used to form the portraits. The event was held in collaboration with the Dubai Press Club and Brand Dubai.
The Flag Day is marked annually on November 3 to consolidate national identity and enhance unity. The day was first marked in 2013 based on Sheikh Mohammed’s directives. The day marks the accession anniversary of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
