Fujairah resident Seng-Boon Koo was the only winner to claim the massive second prize of Dh1,000,000 in Saturday night’s Mahzooz draw. The married father of four received the good news, under mandatory quarantine, whilst visiting his family in his native Singapore.

“I was in total disbelief when I got the email,” said Koo. “As I am in Singapore and there is a 4-hour time difference, I was asleep by the time draw show took place. When I woke up and checked my phone and I saw Dh1 million in my Winnings Balance, my heart skipped a beat. In fact, maybe not just one beat but quite a few!”

Koo, a 45-year-old HSE Specialist, is a regular participant in the GCC’s only weekly live draw and this is his first time to claim a win.

“My first thought was - I’m in Singapore and they’re in UAE so how will this work? Thankfully, the Mahzooz team got in touch with me really quickly and it all went seamlessly from there. And to think all of this happened while I was quarantined. It’s better than watching Netflix!”

Looking ahead, Koo has already started making plans for how to make the most of his newly won Mahzooz million.

Future plans

“My first priority is to put some money aside for my family’s future,” said Koo. “After that I’d like to buy my wife something very nice that she’s always wanted. I think I know what it is and it’s pretty expensive, but I think I can afford it now.”

He continued: “Thank you Mahzooz and thank you to the Mahzooz family for giving me this prize. I truly hope that there will be many more millionaires made throughout 2021!

Entrants can buy Mahzooz entries by registering via mahzooz.ae.

The next draw will be held as scheduled on Saturday 9, January 2021 at 9:00pm UAE time.

Mahzooz is inclusive to all who are eligible, with the entry price set at an affordable Dh35.
