The surprise event was organised to mark the Abu Dhabi Mobility Week (ADMW) that is underway till May 1
The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation on Tuesday announced that Friday, January 1, 2021, will be an official paid holiday for all public and private sector employees on the occasion of the New Year.
With Friday being the official weekend in the country, it wouldn’t really add to the list of days off for most residents. However, it comes as a welcome reprieve for those who don’t get Friday as a weekly day off.
The UAE had released a list of official private- and public-sector holidays for 2021 and 2022 recently. According to the list, the UAE residents will enjoy between 14 and 15 holidays in 2021, depending on moon sighting.
