Work teams across all customs centres continued to process cargo clearance and inspections
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality authorities have said that over 220 new parking spaces were built in the UAE’s capital in a bid to provide adequate parking lots for its residents.
The new parking lots have been constructed at Basin East 25 (Plot 33) on Abu Dhabi Island at a cost of Dh3.5 million (m).
The project included construction of a rainwater drainage network of 285 metres (m), installation of six lighting poles and application of phosphorescent-coated painting on the parking spaces.
There are also dedicated parking spaces for people of determination.
The civic authorities said the project was undertaken following residents’ plea to provide them with adequate parking spaces in their respective neighbourhoods.
“The project is within the framework of developing the city’s infrastructure and improving services that would further enhance the quality of life of the residents,” the civic authorities added.
