The test will be carried out in a smart vehicle containing advanced systems that monitors and evaluates the performance of the new driver during the test. The vehicle will record the results of the test in the traffic file directly, Abu Dhabi Police said in a statement published on social media.

Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, inspected the smart vehicle today in the presence of other senior officials.

Al Mazrouei was briefed by Colonel Mohammed Al Brik Al Ameri, Director of the Drivers and Machinery Licensing Department in the Central Operations, on the vehicle's mechanism and how the project will help reduce traffic accidents.

The project will be implemented at three main screening centers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
Each center will include observation rooms for test supervisors, electronic systems, monitors and performance indicators.

A total of 32 smart test vehicles, including 19 for automatic driving test, 13 for manual driving test and 28 for bus driving test will be introduced.
The vehicles will be connected to control rooms through an advanced communications network.
