The Abu Dhabi Police have warned motorists from the dangers of jumping red lights at junctions as such traffic violation could result in severe injuries and deaths.
Abu Dhabi Police posted an advisory video showing some of the accidents caught on camera after drivers jumped the red light.

In the video, Brigadier Salem Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director of Traffic and Patrols Department, also talks about the two accidents that caused severe injuries.

One of the accidents involved a truck and car that jumped the red traffic light and collided.
Another accident clip shows a speeding car passing a red light and ramming into a taxi, causing severe injuries to both drivers, the statement issued by the police said.
Al Dhaheri warned against reckless driving as they could prove fatal in many cases. He urged all motorists to abide by traffic laws and drive with caution.
