Traffic in UAE has been severely impacted by the thunderstorm and heavy rains since Sunday and early Monday morning.

An accident along Mohamed bin Zayed road near city center had held up traffic near the interchange at City Centre Mirdif.


Heavy congestion in both directions was seen all along Ittihad Road, with a predominantly heavy flow heading towards Dubai.
Traffic flow remains backed up in Sharjah all the way from Abu Shagara to Mulla Plaza along Al Wahda road.

Sharjah Police also tweeted a weather warning to motorists, urging them to avoid low lying areas where water flow will be fast and unpredictable. 
Drivers should keep a safe distance between vehicles and follow all traffic guidelines throughout hazardous driving conditions. 
There was some congestion in Dubai near Wafi Mall and Umm Al Hurair road due to heavy rains.0
 
Three accidents along Sheikh Zayed Road near Jebel Ali have backed up traffic heading towards Abu Dhabi for several kilometres.

 
Traffic is backed up from Jumeirah Lakes Towers up until Ibn Battuta Mall heading in the direction of Abu Dhabi.  

An accident has also been reported near Green Community Village in Dubai. 

Heavy congestion on Al Khail Road near Motor City heading towards Abu Dhabi has also been sighted.

Dubai Police also posted an advisory on their site regarding the weather conditions, urging motorists to reduce speeds to avoid hydroplaning.
