Motorists on Wednesday faced slow moving traffic during the morning rush-hour after rain lashed different parts of the UAE.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported light to moderate rain in the early hours of the morning across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, affecting school buses and residents on their way to work.
Dubai Police took to Twitter, warning motorists that Latifa bint Hamdan bridge towards Abu Dhabi was clogged with heavy traffic due to an accident. Drivers have been adviced to opt for alternative routes.

Dubai Police also issued an advisory to drivers, urging them to drive safely during the rainy weather.
"Dear drivers, Reduce speed during heavy rain to avoid any hydroplaning," they said in a tweet.

If you are driving from Sharjah to Dubai leave well in advance as Al Nahda area is witnessing heavy traffic.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road is experiencing more traffic than usual on this rainy day.
