The Sharjah Municipality has launched more than 400 advanced devices to pay parking fees.
The new devices with touchscreen technology are installed as part of the municipality’s efforts towards digital transformation of all its services.
Thabit Al Tarifi, Director-General of the municipality, said that the new payment machines are first of its kind in the Middle East. “The municipality is keen to provide digital services for customers and save their time and effort and all the departments of the civic body work continuously to achieve this goal,” he added.
Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, assistant director-general of the customer service sector, said that the municipality has a total of 8,519 paid parking spaces in different areas of Sharjah city.
