A new free parking policy was announced in UAE on Wednesday - benefitting members of public schools.
The Ministry of Education announced today that teaching and administrative staff of governmental schools will benefit from permanent free parking areas on their school premises.
The decision comes after the ministry and the Transport Department of Abu Dhabi reached an agreement that would be implemented during the current school year.

The ministry called on management at all Abu Dhabi schools to submit their requests to benefit from the new agreement.
According to a report in Ittihad, a circular issued by the ministry said that 5 documents are required from schools to avail the facility: an official letter, approved list of teachers and employees, copies of vehicle licenses, copies of work cards/permits, and copies of staff Emirates IDs.
