Poor visibility disrupted traffic movement on several roads in the UAE on Sunday morning.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned motorists to take precautions on roads in the expected bad horizontal visibility due to blowing dust and sand. The strong winds are expected to blow in dust and reduce visibility with a reduction in road visibility to less than 3,000 metres.

Police and traffic authorities have issued a warning on their social media account to take extra care on roads due to low visibility caused by dusty weather across the UAE.

According to Google Map reports, Shaikh Zayed Road witnessed traffic snarls after an accident occurred on E311 Mafraq-Ghweifat Highway towards Abu Dhabi.

Backlog was also reported on E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Dubai Investments Park.

Slow moving traffic was observed on Sheikh Zayed Road's E11 - from Al Nahda street, according to Google Maps data. Delays were also expected on Al Wahda Street.
