The Dubai Tram is one of the most convenient modes of transportation when it comes to moving around Dubai.
This is especially true for when moving around areas such as the Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Marina, Media City, Palm Jumeirah, Knowledge Village and Al Sufouh.
Along with the convenience and ease of travel come the fines for not abiding by the rules and regulation for travelling on the Dubai Tram. The list for the same is as follows

For the commuter

1-First and foremost, failing to checking-in and checking-out on the NOL validator before and after travelling on the tram can get the commuter a fine of Dh200.
2-Bringing animals into Public Transport and Public Transport facilities is an absolute no-no and can invite a fine of Dh100 for the person caught doing so. The only exception in this case is that of guide dogs for blind person.
3-A person sleeping in any of the passenger shelters as well as any place where sleeping is prohibited should be ready to shell out Dh300 as penalty.

For the motorists/drivers

The drivers in Dubai are advised to be on a constant lookout for pedestrians running to catch the tram.
1-Causing an accident which may lead to death in this instance can get the driver a fine of up to Dh30,000 along with the withdrawal of the defaulters driving license for a period of up to 1 year.
2-Injuring a person/pedestrian can also invite a fine of up to Dh15,000 for the driver accompanied by the withdrawal of license for up to 6 months.
3-Driving through the red light, without having caused an accident can leave a driver Dh5,000 poorer and not to forget being without a driving license for up to 3 months.
