Abu Dhabi toll: Up to Dh400 fine for unregistered vehicles

Abu Dhabi - Motorists have a grace period of 10 days to register before fines are levied.

Abu Dhabi’s Darb toll gate system was activated on January 2, 2021. Vehicle owners have to register via www.darb.itc.gov.ae or the Darb app and maintain sufficient balance in their accounts to avoid fines.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) took to Twitter on Tuesday to remind residents about the fines. “The grace period for unregistered cars to pass through the Darb Toll Gate System is 10 days,” the authority tweeted.

After that, there is a Dh100 fine when an unregistered vehicle passes through any one of the four toll gates. The amount doubles to Dh200 when the violation is repeated. For a third violation, the fine is Dh400.
