85-year-old hit by 25-year-old driver in UAE, dies

Ras Al Khaimah - He was crossing the road without checking the traffic, says police official.

An 85-year-old man died in a tragic road accident on Sunday after a 25-year-old woman hit him with her car in Ras Al Khaimah.
Capt. Ibrahim Saif Al Mazroui, Director of Traffic and Patrol Department at Dakdakah Police Station said that the operation room received a report of a car accident at 8 pm on airport road in front of shops.
The incident occurred when the man was crossing the road without checking the traffic, Al Mazroui said in a statement on RAK Police's Instagram page.
Police patrols and an ambulance rushed to the site of the accident. The man died on the way to the hospital.
His file has been transferred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
