Some flights from UAE to India have been cancelled due to operational reasons, Khaleej Times has learnt.
Affected passengers told Khaleej Times that they received an email from Emirates Airlines stating that flights to India have been cancelled due to operational reasons.
Dubai resident Rahul Bhatia said his parents, who are on a visit to Dubai, are unable to fly back.
“Their flight to Delhi, India is on January 3. We got an email from Emirates on Monday night saying that the flight to Delhi has been cancelled due to operational reasons.”
George Thomas, another Dubai resident, said he was caught by surprise when he tried to book flights from Dubai to the Indian city of Hyderabad.
“I am unable to book flights to any city in India. I am getting the same message that bookings are not accepted to my selected destination,” he said.
Khaleej Times has reached out to Emirates and other UAE airlines for comments.
This is a developing story.
