UAE leaders order urgent assistance for displaced Rohingyas fleeing Myanmar.
In line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, the ERC has provided urgent assistance to displaced Rohingyas fleeing the tragic events and violence in Myanmar.
The assistance given by the ERC is part of its efforts to help displaced Rohingyas overcome their current circumstances and provide them with humanitarian aid, based on the UAE's humanitarian concern towards underprivileged people around the world, and its care for the lives of people affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters.
The ERC is keen to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to those most in need around the world without any discrimination, and its contributions to relief Rohingya minority especially women and children, and help those affected in Myanmar.
