The UAE embassy in China has shared an article on how the country is taking 'strictest measures' to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the embassy tweeted a comprehensive article by China Daily on what steps the government has taken so far to stop the mysterious virus from spreading after it was first detected in Wuhan in December of last year.

Earlier today, Dubai Airports and Abu Dhabi Airport issued statements saying that passengers traveling from China will be screened for the Wuhan novel coronavirus - also known as 2019-nCoV.
The article published on Wednesday says that Chinese health authorities are adopting the strictest prevention and control measures for the new strain of coronavirus that has caused a pneumonia outbreak in Wuhan, Hubei province, as the pathogen continues to spread.

Until today, more than 500 confirmed cases were reported globally with 17 dead.
A study published on Wednesday in the Journal of Medical Virology showed that snake is the most probable wildlife animal reservoir for the novel coronavirus that had caused 17 deaths in central China's Hubei Province.
Existing evidence shows the new virus can spread from human to human, according to a Chinese expert, the article added.
However, much remains to be understood about 2019-nCoV, including how it is transmitted, the clinical features of the disease, its severity, the extent to which it has spread and its source.

On Monday, President Xi Jinping ordered that efforts should be made to curb the spread of the virus, stressing putting people's safety and health as the top priority.
The Chinese government is working closely with the WHO, adding that a team of WHO experts are working with health officials in Wuhan in response to the virus.
China banned trains and planes from leaving a major city at the centre of a virus outbreak on Thursday, seeking to seal off its 11 million people to contain the contagious disease.
Authorities in Wuhan, a major transport hub, also suspended public buses and subways, and said residents should not leave "without a special reason".
