Ministry affirmed UAE's solidarity with Spanish government in its fight against violence and extremism

UAE has condemned the truck crash by terrorists in the Las Rambla tourist district of Barcelona on Thursday.

A truck ploughed into pedestrians killing and wounding scores of them, according to the Catalunya Police.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the UAE condemned this terrorist act and reiterated its firm position that rejects all forms of violence and terrorism that target everyone, irrespective of religion and race.

The ministry affirmed the UAE's solidarity with the Spanish government in its fight against violence and extremism and called on the international community to stand united to confront and uproot this scourge, which poses a threat to the security and stability of the world.

In conclusion, the statement from the ministry wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
