His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the release of 430 prisoners - of various nationalities - in Dubai on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
The pardon aims to give a new opportunity to those inmates and alleviate the suffering of their families, according to a statement issued by Dubai Media Office.

Earlier, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 669 prisoners.
Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai, said the public prosecution is working with the General Directorate of Dubai Police and other authorities to implement the decision - allowing the released prisoners to spend Eid with their families.
