Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has issued a decision promoting 1,197 officers, non-commissioned officers and members of staff of the Dubai Directorate General Of Civil Defence.
Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, expressed his gratitude for His Highness' decision.
This gesture, he added, represents Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's vested interest in our cadres, ensuring that their morale and capacities continue to develop for their personal benefit and that of the country's development journey.
For his part, Major-General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director-General of the Dubai Civil Defence, extended his gratitude to His Highness, and congratulated the Directorate's staff on their promotions, wishing them continued success and perseverance to continue serving the UAE community.

This comes on the heels of Sheikh Mohammed's decision last week to promote 4,910 officers, non-commissioned officers and members of staff of Dubai Police.
The decision had included the promotion of five policemen to the rank of Major General, 13 to the rank of Brigadier, 41 to the rank of Colonel, 33 to the rank of commander, 40 to the rank of Major, 111 to the rank of Captain, 153 to the rank of First Lieutenant and 154 to the rank of Lieutenant. It also includes changing the position and rank of 4,241 commissioned and non-commissioned officers.
