Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has approved five community and security initiatives, including Ideal Safe Family initiative, establishment of an Anti-Money Laundering Centre, formation of a team to deal with drones, using of smart intelligent systems in policing operations, and establishment of security units in Dubai schools.
This came during the Leadership Strategic Retreat 2019 in the framework of achieving the strategic goals of Dubai Police and enhancing the contribution of intelligent systems in policing operations, a statement issued on Monday said.
The Leadership Strategic Planning Retreat 2019 was chaired by the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police at Dubai Autodrome in the presence of his assistants, directors of general and sub-departments, as well as number of cadets, officers and individuals.
They discussed four main keys, including organized crime, first line of defence and security, emerging crimes, and crisis management. As well as the most challenges and suggestions in order to build a common framework for implementing the future plans and projects.
During the Retreat, Al Marri stressed on enhancing communication and cooperation with partners, sharing experiences and learning about opinions and developmental ideas in the interest of policing.

Al Marri added that 'Ideal Family' initiative is one of the most important initiatives that was launched by the Dubai Police, emphasizing the family role in raising effective individuals in the society.
From his part, Brigadier General Sheikh Abdullah Al Mualla, Director General of Excellence and Entrepreneurship, said that Leadership Strategic Planning Retreat 2018 had succeeded in implementing its objectives in all levels.
"Dubai Police aim to increase the safety and security feelings among the public through such initiatives to achieve the strategic target of making Dubai a happy and safe city," Brig. Al Mualla added.
At the end of the retreat, Al Marri honoured Ben Sulayem, president of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE, Ali Al Naboodah, General Manager of Al Naboodah Automobiles Company, Faisal Al Sahlawi, general manager of Dubai Autodrome, Abdulla Lanjawi, operation manegeer at Dubai Autodrome , for their contribution in the Leadership Strategic Planning Retreat 2019.
