Even as excitement mounts ahead of the UAE-Qatar match for a spot in the final of the AFC Asian Cup today, the police here have urged fans to follow "good sports ethics".
Taking to social media on Monday, the Abu Dhabi Police urged fans to cheer their teams in a "civilised manner" inside and outside the stadium and on social media as well.

Students of public schools across the UAE will be let off two hours early on Tuesday so they can watch the match. The 40,000-capacity Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium is expected to be filled to the brim with fans of the home team.

The UAE are determined to continue their winning run in the championship. At a pre-match media interaction on Monday, the UAE coach Alberto Zaccheroni admitted that his players will have to be highly focused during the match against Qatar. "I hope the fans will come in big numbers like they did against Australia. We promise them a better performance than the last game."
