Public gatherings and parties will not be allowed in restaurants and cafes, the Ajman Municipality has warned. Those caught violating the rule will face hefty fines and the facility will be shut down immediately, they added.
Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman Municipality, said the municipality has intensified inspection on facilities that witness huge turnout during holidays to ensure that they adhere to anti-Covid measures.
He added that special teams have been assigned to carry out surprise checks on salons and men's and women's personal care centres to see if they are following all protocols and prescribed guidelines.

He said that the inspection campaigns will also target restaurants, public kitchens and catering services and make sure that they implement the health standards approved by the Ajman Public Health Programme. The inspectors will check if the facilities meet the health requirements for food display, circulation, and promotional offers.
"The municipality has also increased its staff at the call centre to deal with complaints from customers round the clock," he added.
