His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday said the experience of combating Covid-19 "has made us stronger, better and faster" even as he urged all citizens, residents, companies and institutions to stay responsible as offices reopen and economic activities resume.
Chairing a virtual Cabinet meeting on the day when 30 per cent of federal and half of Dubai government employees resumed working from their office premises, he said: "Today, I chaired a Cabinet meeting on the first day of government employees' return to work from offices. All entities and sectors are partaking in protecting their personnel. Health will remain a priority. Restoring the economic wheel is both strategic and necessary."
"We say to everyone... life continues, achievements are ongoing, and experience has made us stronger, better and faster. The coming phase requires us to have a new spirit, with different thinking and to work faster and with greater flexibility," he added.
Sheikh Mohammed said that the meeting discussed the procedures for the return of employees to their offices and the future mechanisms of governmental work.
"We formed a team to develop smart judicial services, a team to study societal culture & a policy to automate government work," Sheikh Mohammed said.
