Abu Dhabi announced fees exemptions on Emirates ID card procedures and discount on taxi fares for certain segments of society.
Neama Abdullah Alshahrani, The Minister of Community Development, announced on Tuesday that several agreements were signed with government agencies and the private sector firms to reduce the financial or increasing cost or living burden for social security programme beneficiaries.
She added that the process of reducing the cost of living includes fees exemption on issuance or renewal of Emirates ID cards, including fines. The programme also offers 50% discount on taxi fares for the elderly and people of determination in Abu Dhabi.
