Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tied the knot after recently getting engaged to Sheikh Suhail bin Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum in December.
A grand wedding reception was held at Dubai's World Trade Centre on Wednesday, which was attended by Sheikh Mohammed, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE royals and other dignitaries.
A wedding invitation card posted on Instagram in December hinted that the big day was round the corner.
As news of the wedding went viral, members of the Dubai royal family, including Sheikha Maryam's sisters posted congratulatory posts on Instagram, wishing the beautiful bride a lifetime of love and happiness:
The Ruler's official channel on YouTube posted this video later in the evening - featuring highlights from the wedding:
A popular UAE royals fan page on Instagram, 'emiratesroyalfamily', also posted videos from the event:
Earlier in December 2017, news of the engagement broke as congratulatory posts by members of the Dubai royal family went viral.
The royal wedding comes exactly a year after Sheikh Mohammed's daughter Sheikha Latifa's wedding in December 2016.
Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum posted this generic 'poem post' - specially designed to announce the couple's engagement - hinting at the couple's upcoming wedding:
'Congratulation to my cousin @maryam_mrm and @suhailbenahmedon their up coming wedding. May you find a lifetime of happiness in this union.'
