If you're planning to redecorate your house or wanting to buy new home appliances, it would be better to hold that thought at the moment and wait for the first-ever Dubai Home Festival (DHF) that's happening from April 18 until May 1.
The DHF Sale is much like the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) and Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), but more focused on home products. Retailers will offer up to 75 per cent discount on appliances and household accessories, the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) announced at a Press briefing on Tuesday (April 9).
Aside from home furnishing sales and promotions, the city-wide event will also feature a series of free-to-attend sessions on home decoration and kitchen tips, plus a raffle draw to win a fully furnished studio apartment at Starz by Danube
"We've seen a significant growth in Dubai's homeware industry and, together with our strategic retail partners, we are excited to shine a spotlight on this flourishing sector to give consumers the opportunity to enjoy unbeatable sales, promotions and events," said DFRE CEO Ahmed Al Khaja.
"Dubai has a rich history in hosting must-visit festivals that attract tourists from across the world, including the flagship DSF and DSS, and we are now incredibly proud to be unveiling the very first DHF Sale to further enhance the city's position as a leading shopping destination," he added.
According to the DFRE, bargain-hunters can get incredible offers on an exclusive product range at a specified shopping location, time and outlet each week.
"Details of the eagerly anticipated deals will only be revealed 24 hours beforehand, so shoppers are urged to monitor the website (www.dubaihomefestival.com) and social media channels to make sure they don't miss out on any promo," the DFRE said.
Al Khaja also noted that they will be monitoring consumer feedback from residents and tourists to ensure that the DHF Sale will become another highlight in Dubai's retail calendar.
