UAE traffic: Accidents in Abu Dhabi delay motorists

Heavy traffic and accidents caused delays to commuters in UAE on Sunday morning.

In capital, the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport took to Twitter at 8:23am to report an accident on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street after Mussafah bridge outbound. The incident caused heavy delay, which was cleared at 8:37am.

Another accident caused heavy congestion on E20 Abu Dhabi International Airport Road after Khalifa city bridge inbound. The incident was cleared by 9.14am.

The department asked motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules, especially when driving in conditions of fog and low visibility.

Meanwhile in Dubai, motorist faced heavy delays on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Ras Al Khor Industrial Area, International City and Dubai Investments Park area.

There is also heavy traffic on the roads headed from Al Nahda and Al Wadha street heading into Dubai.
