The Federal Supreme Court of the UAE upheld a verdict issued by the Abu Dhabi Federal Appeal Court against two Arabs, sentencing them to 7 years in jail. They are to be deported after serving jail term.
The court also ordered the seizure of all the equipment including cameras, computers and communication devices that were found with them.
Earlier, the state security prosecution had charged the first accused, BMH and second AAH with being in the country after joining two terrorist groups - namely Al Nusra Front and Daesh - even after knowing that they are terrorist groups.
The third accused, WMH, has also been charged with being in the country after being in contact with two terrorist groups - Al Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham - by providing them weapons and ammunitions.
The top court also dismissed the appeals that the two accused had submitted to the higher court and upheld a previous ruling issued against a third Arab accused in the same case, condemning him to 18 months in jail.
This ruling has been deemed as final and irrevocable.
