The Abu Dhabi Police have released guidelines for people wishing to decorate their vehicles to celebrate the 46th National Day taking place on December 2.
The issued guidelines specify that motorists can only decorate their vehicles from November 22 until December 6.
Camera and radar monitoring will also be heavily increased during the UAE celebrations in Abu Dhabi City, as well as in Al Ain and in the Western Regions.
Brigadier Khalifa Al Khalili, the Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate, said the increase in cameras and radar monitoring is to ensure that no offenses are committed and that roads are kept safe during the celebrations.

"There will be no complacency with drivers who break or violate any traffic rules during the celebrations," he pointed out.
He explained that motorists can appropriately and safely decorate their vehicles, however they must not change the vehicle's colour, cover the windscreen, cover the license plates or include loud accessories.
Moreover, motorists must abide by all traffic rules and are not permitted to park on the roads, drift, accelerate, or cause obstruction to traffic.
He also pointed out that passengers are warned to not stick their heads or body parts out of the windows and sunroof, and the number of carried passengers in the vehicles cannot be exceeded.
Brigadier Al Khalili also urged pedestrians against spray painting on drivers, throwing trash on the roads, and also warned against jaywalking.
He warned motorists, particularly young drivers, to abide by the traffic law and urged the community to celebrate safely.
"The occasion must be celebrated in a civilised manner, without causing damage, chaos and inconvenience on the roads."
