A European patient, onboard a private medical jet plane, was rushed to the Saqr hospital after the aircraft developed a technical glitch late on Monday night.
The aircraft, heading from India to Turkey, was on transit at the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
Medical sources said the patient, who was accompanied by two attendants onboard, was rushed to the Saqr hospital in an ambulance.
He was then admitted to the intensive care unit "because of his critical condition".
"He is still there receiving treatment and is to resume his flight to Turkey after the technical glitch in his private aircraft is fixed."
Informed sources said the plane failed to fly late on Monday around 11:20pm. "The specialist engineer concerned was requested to fix the problem, and the jet plane will fly soon."
