No traffic fines in these emirates during Eid break

The initiatives aim to raise awareness of traffic rules and regulations.

As Eid Al Fitr approaches, the traffic department of Ras Al Khaimah is preparing to launch the 'We give you a chance' initiative that will take place during the first two days of Eid Al Fitr.
On Thursday, Ras Al Khaimah Police announced that the initiative aims to raise awareness of traffic rules and regulations and the importance of following instructions.

Ajman Police also announced a similar initiative, 'Eid without Fines', to enhance traffic safety and reduce the number of violators who may threaten road security.
Both emirates will be distributing educational pamphlets to violators instead of fines and black points.
Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said that the initiative is launched by the Department of Investigation and Traffic Control to spread awareness among the members of the society.

Ajman Traffic and Patrols Department will intensify and distribute traffic and safety patrols on main roads and in various areas of the emirate.
Lt. Col. Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, director of traffic and patrol department at Ajman Police, said that 40 traffic and security patrols will be deployed in various areas of the Emirate and near mosques to ensure the safety of citizens after Eid prayers.
Al Falasi urged drivers, especially the youth, to adhere to the speed limit as specified on the road, to leave sufficient distance between vehicles, and to abide by the traffic law.
