Soyuz touchdown!
The head of the UAE Astronaut Programme at MBRSC, Salem Al Marri, and manager of astronaut's office Saeed Kormastaji, are receiving Hazzaa. They flew onboard a MI-8 helicopter to the landing site.
Hazzaa will be retrieved from the spacecraft via a team of medics who will carry him and be placed in chairs before taking him and the remaining crew to a medical tent.

2.20pm

The spacecraft is about to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere and then the three modules will separate upon re-entry. Only the Descent module (the one the crew is inside) will return to land. The remaining will be burned in the atmosphere. A strong heat shield is installed around the Descent module to protect it as the temperature reaches over 1,300°C Celsius upon re-entry. The communication with the crew onboard at this point will be lost or extremely choppy, however, see re-established once they have passed the re-entry phase.
