Four people were killed and one sustained injuries after two cars crashed as drivers raced on a road in Al Ain.
Abu Dhabi Police said that the incident occurred on Al Nasiriyah road in Al Ain on Wednesday (May 8) evening when the speeding cars suddenly changed lanes.

One of the cars crashed into a light post killing its driver and passenger. The second car hit and ran over two women that were crossing the road from the pedestrian crossing area.
According to a statement from police, the women died on the spot.
Police and ambulances had rushed to the scene after being notified about the crash.
The injured person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Brigadier Salem bin Barak Al Dhahiri, director of the traffic department for Al Ain region at Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Department said initial investigations have suggested that the accident was caused by the drivers who were illegally racing on the public road.
"The two drivers, who were racing on the street, made sudden change of lanes which caused one of the cars to crash into the light post," said Al Dhahiri.
The officer has urged motorists to refrain from speeding and to abide by the traffic rules and regulations to maintain safety on the roads.
