The Sharjah Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences (SCASS) has announced the likely date for Eid Al Adha this year.
In a brief statement issued online, the centre again announced likely dates for Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr in 2018, reported Sharjah News.
Eid Al Adha is expected to begin on August 22 (Wednesday), which translates to a long weekend for people in UAE as 'historically', the government announces a four-day break for the public sector and a three-day break for the private sector.
Therefore, with Eid Al Adha falling on a Wednesday this year, residents could enjoy a four-day long holiday.
