Putting to rest all speculations about the manner in which celebrated Michelin star chef Gary Rhodes passed away in Dubai last Tuesday, November 26, Jaideep Bhatia, Grosvenor House PR Chief, in a conversation with Khaleej Times affirmed that Rhodes "collapsed" at his home and passed away due to natural causes.
The sudden tragic death of Rhodes has been met with shock with tributes pouring in from colleagues, friends and fans across the world.

Talking to Khaleej Times on Friday night Jaideep said: "After a great day shooting for his show on ITV, Gary came home in good spirits, had a bath, and then dinner with his wife Jennie. It was while preparing for bed that he collapsed." He added that there was no fall and injury as widely reported in the media and that Dubai Police have confirmed the death as due to natural causes.
The chef was taken to Al Zahra Hospital where he passed away due to "subdural haemetoma" with his wife by his side.
As a mark of respect to the man who played a huge role in popularising British cuisine across the world, the restaurant, Rhodes W1, which has been closed since Rhodes passed away will remain shut for the week.
"The family needs their privacy now, " Jaideep told us. "They need to be given space to grieve in private."
