Days before FIFA World Cup, beIN Sports ends deal with du

Dubai - Khaleej Times has reached out to Du for comment.

Thousands of sports fans across the UAE will be left in limbo just weeks ahead of the FIFA World Cup, as beIN Sports on Sunday confirmed that its contract with telecoms provider du will not be renewed.

At 2.03pm on Sunday via its official Twitter page, beIN published a statement saying it has "not been able to reach an agreement to continue its services over du's network".
When Khaleej Times reached out to Du for comment, it declined to respond to the latest update from beIN.
