Dressed in all black, the man was seen directing traffic for nearly six hours
Two young Emirati men - Omar Ali Saleh Al Tanhy and Abdullah Rashed Mohammed Al Shahi - have undertaken a journey on foot from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to Abu Dhabi holding aloft the UAE flag to celebrate the 46th UAE National Day on December 2.
They also added that their trip is dedicated to the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and in celebration of Year of Zayed 2018.
The duo started their journey from RAK on Wednesday, kicking off their trip trip in front of Sheikh Zayed Mosque on RAK corniche.
They said through their initiative, they wish to showcase their love and loyalty for their country.
Omar said he was thrilled to celebrate the National Day in a different way.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Dubai Police shared a video of two police patrols alongside the two men to ensure their safety during their journey to Abu Dhabi. The Dubai cops helped and guided the duo.
Omar said authorities in Ajman, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain also provided them everything needed for their comfort and safety.
Abdullah said the journey meant a lot to them as they were spreading love and respect for the country.
