SEHA fulfilled a 14-year-old Emirati girl’s dream to be a doctor for a day at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.
According to Al Bayan, a team of doctors and representatives from the Make A Wish Foundation received Shamma at the hospital, allowing her to shadow a female doctor for the day.
Shamma was able to get acquainted with different departments at the hospital and gave virtual consultations to other children. She also received a certificate of appreciation for her day working as a doctor.
Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of Make a Wish Foundation, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the people of SEHA and the employees at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City for their help. He also thanked the medical staff for their dedication at the front lines in UAE's battle against the pandemic.
For his part, Dr Tariq Fathy, CEO of SEHA, affirmed SEHA’s commitment to providing high-quality health care to all community members and its continuous efforts to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
