An Arab man was rescued from drowning in UAE on Tuesday morning.
The Civil Defence Directorate General in Ajman managed to rescue a 27-year-old Arab man, who almost drowned in the Corniche on Tuesday.

Lt Humaid bin Ayif, Manager of Marine Rescue branch, said they were alerted about the incident at 6.30am.

"Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the reported site and rescued the youth. He was handed over to the National Ambulance where paramedics provided him with first aid.

"He was then shifted to the hospital for medical treatment."

Lt Ayif urged the public to strictly avoid swimming in banned areas.

"The strong currents in these prohibited areas pose a grave risk to swimmers and can drag them down."
